Assisted Living Employee Arrested after Allegedly Withholding Patient's Morphine

An assisted living facility employee has been arrested for larceny and abuse by a caregiver. According to police, the charged person was employed by the facility as a medication administration technician. She allegedly stole morphine that was supposed to be administered to a cancer patient in the facility. The facility terminated the employee immediately following the arrest.

According to a report, the former employee had no criminal history. Additionally, the facility had a good standing with the state’s Department of Health. For more, read the story
