Assisted Living Facility Loses Track of Resident

An assisted living facility was forced to shut down after an elderly man left the facility by climbing out of a window and remained unnoticed until family members called and reported the man’s location.

According to reports, the man climbed out of his bedroom window and hitched a ride from someone in order to get to his family. The report also stated that employees were not following facility regulations by not paying proper attention to the residents.

The facility was issued an emergency suspension and ultimately ordered to close while relocating residents to nearby nursing homes and assisted living facilities.  For more, read the story.
