An Assisted Living facility in Lecanto, Florida started the “This and That” general store when they could no longer go out to the local general store due to COVID-19. Residents can find snack, toiletries, and other general goods without leaving their facility now.
Residents have enjoyed their trips to their store, which features some old fashioned items and special treats, all ordered by the resident store manager. Items are “fairly priced,” with additional funds to help out residents. The staff at Rosecastle of Citrus Assisted Living Facility hopes that their store will “inspire other assisted living facilities to open a store of their own.”
