Attorney General May Now Prosecute Nursing Home Abuse Cases

The Attorney General in one state is praising a new law and acted allowing the state to now prosecute against abuse of the elderly which includes abuse by institution such as nursing homes. Formerly abuse cases were handled by prosecutors alone. The new law also put into effect the fact that prosecutors no longer have to prove injury occurred in abuse cases.

 The Attorney General said, “Those caregivers who kill a person by neglecting the individual will no longer be able to hide behind a legal loophole.”  For more a, read the story.
