Staff evacuated the patients in their own vehicles after the administrator found beds for them at other facilities. There were no transport vehicles available. It took some up to seven hours to travel what should have been 30 minutes. But, they made it through the flaming roads to safety with no casualties. The nursing home was destroyed by the fire.
