Four caregivers have been charged with abuse and neglect of an elderly person. The caregivers were taking care of the individual in his home in exchange for free room and board where he lived. The individual was malnourished and had terrible bed sores that were left untreated while living in poor, unclean conditions.
“He looked scared. He kept pulling the blanket up over his eyes. I was able to see every rib. He was like a skeleton with a blanket pulled up over his bones,” said the emergency transport person who came to take him to the emergency room.
