Caretaker Arrested for Allegedly Sexually Abusing Resident of Assisted Living Facility

A caregiver at an
assisted-living facility has been arrested after a hidden camera showed him allegedly assaulting
a female resident. The hidden camera, which was placed in the woman’s room by her family, captured images of the
suspect subjecting the victim who is in her late eighties, to unlawful
sexual contact, spokesman for the Police Department.

The family installed the camera after they became suspicious that the woman was being mistreated. It is unclear whether there may be additional issues regarding abuse by the caretaker or other employees at the facility.

Police interviewed the suspect and made an arrest shortly thereafter. The former caretaker, who is 41 years old, was booked for
investigation of “crimes against an at-risk adult.” For more, read the story.
