Coroner Proposes All Nursing Home Deaths Be Reported In One State, Regardless Of Cause

A coroner who presented a series on concerns of the current condition of nursing homes in one state is proposing that nursing homes be required to report all deaths that occur. Current law requires deaths to be reported when their is concern that the death was not of natural causes. 

“I’m a firm believer that all nursing home deaths and assisted living facility deaths – whether they are natural or not – are reported to the coroner’s office just to make sure everything is appropriate,” said the coroner. For more, read the story
