County Owned Nursing Home In Need of Facelift

A nursing home is in need of updating with upgrades in order to compete with other nursing homes. The facility is owned by the county, competing against private nursing homes. The administrator is seeking to update the 42-year-old facility, or the census will be a concern. 

Currently, individuals looking to live at the nursing home facility are turned away by the dated look and lack of family friendly spaces to visit. The nursing home plans to include family members and staff to help improve the overall image, with a contest to rename the facility as part of the initiative. For more, read the story
