Dementia Patient Struck In The Head For Being Unruly

A nursing home employee has been charged with abuse of a patient after an incident was caught on surveillance camera. The nursing home employee was trying to subdue the patient who was showing signs of being difficult to manage. The nursing home employee then struck the patient in the head with a cell phone.

The patient suffered a deep cut to her forehead. She suffered from dementia and was in a special facility for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. Police and the attorney state general, who brought the charges, are conducting an investigation. For more, read the story
