Disabled Patients Neglected At Nursing Homes

In one state, nursing home facilities are accused of not providing proper care for mentally disabled patients. These patients are not receiving medical care at the level required or are being abused due to their mental state. One patient was allowed to die in one nursing home after receiving a brain injury in a car accident.

Another patient was in slave-like circumstance for three decades working for $.41 an hour at a turkey process plant, living in a group home.
