Disabled Veteran Allegedly Neglected by Long-term Care Staff, Family Seeking New Arrangements

One family has accused a long-term facility of neglecting their disabled loved one, an Iraq veteran who suffers from a serious brain injury. The family claims the staff at the facility was negligent in providing even the most basic care for their brother. The veteran’s sister noted several concerns that “keep her up at night,” including permitting her brother to lie in a urine-soaked bed for extended periods of time. “This is a man who fought for our country and these are the conditions that he’s stuck with,” the sister stated.

According to the long-term care facility administrator, the facility inherited many issues after it was bought out by a new owners. The administrator continued to say inordinate enhancements are being made. For more, read the story.
