This week in New York, an elder care worker was arrested for stealing from a disabled veteran resident. Maryann Church of Ithaca, New York was arrested after months of investigation on charges for grand larceny, 13 counts of criminal possession, and 13 counts of forgery.
Church was hired to take care of an elderly, disabled veteran, and it after she was arrested for stealing, it was found that her “criminal behavior lasted for several years and included theft through various types of fraudulent means.”
