Police have reported that an elderly woman was shot Friday night inside an assisted living facility. The suspect, a man in his 50’s who was also a resident at the facility, has been arrested.
According to police, the elderly woman does not appear to have been the intended target. Rather, the woman was hit when the suspect fired a gun into an apartment sprinkler system. The woman was shot once in the upper chest and taken to a nearby hospital. Police say she is in stable condition and expected to survive the incident. For more, read the story.
