Elderly Man Falls From Window at Care Facility

A 69-year-old man suffered a broken back and leg injuries after falling
from a window at the long-term care cne police
said. Town police said they received a report around midnight Thursday that a male patient had fallen out of
a second floor window at the facility. Police said the male patient, who was not identified, was
treated at the scene by members of the  Fire Department and
then taken to the hospital for further treatment.

As a result of the fall the man suffered
a broken back and leg injuries, however, police said he was
reportedly in stable condition Friday. They also said that they were
continuing to investigate the incident in conjunction with the state
Health Department’s Adult Protective Services.

“Our thoughts and
prayers go out to the resident and family,” said tha facility administrator. According to the facility website, it is a
specialty rehabilitation-oriented facility for individuals with traumatic brain
