Elderly Nursing Home Resident Spends Night in Locked Closet at Facility

An elderly nursing home resident who went missing Saturday was found early Sunday, inside a locked closet at the facility. The 77-year-old man went missing after a 4:30 a.m. bed check. Police searched the area around the facility with dogs.

The search continued for most of the night and as it was resuming Sunday morning, employees called to report that the elderly man was discovered in a closet.The man appeared uninjured and was alert and conscious at the time he was found. The man, who suffers from dementia, was hospitalized for an assessment. Police are investigating the incident. For more, read the story.
