Fall Leads to Severe Brain Injury in Nursing Home Resident

The son of an elderly woman is suing her nursing home after his mother was left with a severe brain injury. the son claims that while his mother was a resident of the the nursing home from May 2008 through April 2010, she sustained multiple falls. The falls occurred at times when his mother was, or should have been, under direct supervision nursing home staff.

The alleged falls were not reported to the woman’s son or to her physician in a timely matter to allow appropriate medical treatment.  In April 2010, his mother was admitted to the hospital with several brain injuries allegedly consistent with those that would be caused by a fall.
