Family Of Nursing Home Patient Files Lawsuit

The family of a nursing home patient has filed a lawsuit after her suffering and death. The deceased patient was found to have suffered from pressure sores and died as a result. The patient was admitted with immobility and required assistance to turn and reposition. The facility failed to provide proper pressure sore prevention, to include turning and repositioning every two hours.

“The facility's neglect caused Sharon extensive injuries that resulted in excruciating pain, and ultimately, her untimely death,” said the family's attorney. The facility also failed to notify the family when the pressure sores developed. For more, read the story
