Female Nursing Home Resident Froze To Death When Negligently Left Outdoors Overnight

A forgotten bed check is to blame for an 88-year -old female resident freezing to death in the outdoors. She was left outside overnight in the courtyard of a nursing home wearing a night gown in 28-degree weather. The nurse on duty neglected to do the midnight bed check.

In addition, the courtyard did not have working locks or alarms on the doors. The death is under investigation and new residents are prohibited until the investigation is completed. For more, read the story.
