The State Bureau of Investigation has arrested five former certified nursing assistants at a nursing home over allegations of mistreatment of dependent adults. According to a news release, the five people were indicted by a grand jury earlier this month. On Monday and Tuesday the individuals were arrested.
Three of the individuals were indicted on two counts of abuse, neglect or exploitation of a dependent adult. The other two individuals were indicted on charges of failing to report abuse, neglect or exploitation of a dependent adult. According to the FBI, the individuals were accused of using syringes to squirt water at residents to irritate them. For more, read the story.
