Former Nursing Home Administrator Drains Veteran's Account

A former nursing home administrator was sentenced to jail for theft of a patient who was a veteran at the nursing home facility he oversaw. The veteran was awarded financial aid to help with medical expenses in the amount of $313,452.37. The administrator took all of the money from the account within 4 days of the funds landing in the account. 

The administrator spent the stolen funds and tried to cover his actions by submitted false invoices on behalf of the nursing home facility for the veteran to pay. However, the administrator never notified the patient or his family of the funds that were received. For more, read the story
