Former Nursing Home Caregivers Plead Guilty To Charges In Freezing Death

Two former nursing home caregivers have accepted plea bargains in a conviction for allowing a nursing home patient to die after enduring below-freezing temperatures for more than four hours. The patient died of hypothermia after temperatures dropped into the single digits.

Both of the former caregivers lost their licenses. One former nurse will serve the after pleading guilty to falsifying records related to the patient’s death. For more, read the story.
