Former Nursing Home Director Conceals Possessions, Serves Jail Time

A former director of nursing has been sentenced to prison for concealing possessions while filing for bankruptcy. The nursing home employee received a $100,000 gift from a patient upon death. The payments came in two installments. One of the checks was dated the day before the former nursing home official filed for bankruptcy.

Other possessions were also hidden when the nurse filed to remove her debt and received a ruling to relieve her of more than $75,000 of debt. In addition to jail time, the nurse also had her license suspended for three years. For more, read the story.
