Former Nursing Home Resident Sues Facility for Keeping Her Drugged Up for Months

One nursing facility has been accused of wrongly drugging a 68-year-old patient for months in order to take over her Social Security payments. The lawsuit filed Wednesday in Superior court claims that the facility failed to care for the elderly woman properly and kept her doped her up with medications for schizophrenia, dementia.

The woman says she was also allegedly given powerful psychotropic drugs, including Ativan, without warning, a psychiatric evaluation, or a prescription. For more, read the story.
