Grandson Sues Hosptial After Grandmother Developes Infected Pressure Ulcers

A man is suing the hospital where he says his grandmother died from gangrene stemming from untreated pressure ulcers (pressure sores, bed sores, decubitus ulcers) on her feet.

Hid grandmother, who died at 91, developed pressure ulcers on her skin during a hospital stay, which over the next two months, developed into a blood infection, then gangrene on both feet. The grandson feels that the hospital was neglectful for not amputating the feet or catching the infection earlier on. For more, read the story.
