Hospital Sued For Patient Discharge 300 Miles Away

The family of a loved one is suing a hospital for discharging a family member to a nursing home 300 miles away. The patient was originally at a facility near the hospital. The family does not understand why the patient was discharged so remotely after hospitalization.

The patient was originally admitted to the hospital for pneumonia and sepsis. After being discharged 300 miles away, he was transferred back to the hospital where he died shortly after.  For more, read the story
