Licensed Practical Nurse at Nursing Home May Serve Ten Years in Prison for Neglect or Abuse

A Licensed Practical Nurse at a nursing home facility has been formally charged with abuse and/or neglect of a patient. The victim was under the nurse’s care and supervision when the victim was allegedly struck across the mouth and had his or her skin maliciously pinched by the nurse.

The pretrial conference was scheduled following the indictment of the nurse. If the nurse is found guilty of the crimes, it is possible she may face up to ten years in prison and acquire professional sanctions. For more, read the story.
