A fall prevention class recently was held in the Lynchburg area. “A Matter of Balance,” is a nationally recognized program to assist the elderly in becoming more active and prepared for a possible fall. It also addresses anxiety about falling.
More than a dozen senior citizens gathered at New Vine Baptist Church for a session in the 8-week program.
“I’m not to the point where I do a lot of falling, but it’s good preventive help, and it tells me what to do so I won’t get to that point,” a 69-year-old woman said. For more, read the story.
