A local woman will surrender her CNA
license, after police say she took naked pictures of elderly nursing
home residents without their permission.
Investigators say the incident occurred back in April at Waddell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Galax.
Both Sharon Walker and Livia Crisan were charged in the case. On Monday, Walker entered a plea. As part of the agreement, she was found guilty of abusing and
neglecting an incapacitated adult, which is a different from the charge she originally faced.
Walker’s 12-month jail sentence was suspended, contingent upon whether she pays the fines,
stays on good behavior and surrenders her license as a certified CNA.
Crisan is scheduled to be in court next week to face her charges. For more, read the story.
