Police received a call that a woman working at a nursing home was putting lotion on a patient’s hand to slip her rings off her finger. An investigation revealed the nursing home worker stole jewelry from multiple patients. She would then pawn them at local pawn shops.
She mostly stole the jewelry during the night while patients were asleep. The victim that spoke up first said she awoke during the robbery and was frightened awake to see the worker trying to take off her rings. Police are working to identify other victims. For more, read the story.
