Lynchburg Man Facing Neglect Charges

According to the local news channel, WDBJ7, A Lynchburg man is  facing neglect charges following the death of his mother earlier this week.

On January 24, 2011 at approximately 3:54 p.m. members of the Lynchburg Police Department responded to the Lynchburg General Hospital Emergency Room in reference to a female who was being treated for several health related issues. On January 25, 2011 the female, identified as Shirley Mikhail, age 74 of Lynchburg, passed away.

On January 26, 2011, members of the Lynchburg Police Department arrested Alexander Mikhail, age 32 of Lynchburg (the victim’s son) and charged him with Neglect of an Incapacitated Adult, a Class 3 Felony. An investigation into this incident is ongoing. For the full story, click here.
