Man Killed By Fire at Assisted Living Facility

According to authorities, a 65-year-old man is dead after a fire at an assisted living facility where he lived. Fire safety officials say the blaze started at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday. The man who passed away was inside the home at the time of the blaze.

The small assisted living facility was destroyed but the six other people who had been inside were able to evacuate without injury. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, however, it is believed that an improperly extinguished cigarette may have been a factor. For more, read the story.
