When the state of Maryland decided to hold the Annual Western Maryland Walk to End Alzheimer’s virtually, two assisted living facilities in Hagerstown decided to join forces and walk safely together in person.
Elmcroft of Hagerstown and Commonwealth Senior Living “wanted to make sure that this walk was not forgotten because of the COVID-19 pandemic.” Residents held their own walk, showing solidarity amidst their isolation. They walked back and forth between their two facilities wearing the color purple- safely showing their support for raising awareness.
