The data revealed how assisted living communities with larger minority populations had a higher percentage of Covid-19 cases.
The article explained how many nursing homes remain segregated, and homes with higher percentages of ethnic and racial minorities were ill-prepared for the pandemic, as they lacked federal oversight, and faced financial challenges as they attempted to assist their residents affected by coronavirus.
