Ms. Nursing Home Pageant Crowns Queen

A nursing home pageant was held among 11 nursing homes to crown a queen for this year. The pageant is held annually and takes into account personality, career before retirement, and attitude. The pageant is an activity service provided to the nursing home residents of that area.

“They’ve been doing it at least 40 to 50 years, since the 1960s or 1970s,” said the organizer. “Each home selects a queen that they send to the district pageant, and the winner of this pageant goes on to the MHCA state pageant in August, which will be held in Branson this year.” For more, read the story.
