Nursing Home Patient Dies After Suspected Assault By Fellow Patient

Police are investigating the death of an 83-year-old woman at a nursing home from a head injury. A staff member heard what sounded like a body hitting the floor in the facility’s locked dementia unit, and found a 78-year-old man standing over the woman. Nursing Home Fined $140,000 After Unreported Fatal Fall

The federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services fined a nursing home $140,000 following the fatal fall of an 87-year-old patient.
