A nursing home has been sued where a patient was found dead after being left outside in 87 degree temperatures. The patient suffered from dementia and was allowed to wander outside the home. The patient went missing for 3 hours and was found outside the home lying in direct sunlight with vomit on the sides of her mouth.Video surveillance showed the patient entering the courtyard at 1:47pm, but staff only started looking for her at 5:15pm.
