A man has been charged with the rapes of two nursing home patients. He was brought before a judge and confined to his home with an order to were a GPS bracelet. He was also ordered to stay away from nursing homes in general, as well as the two victims of the rape. The man was found to be a danger to the public and is expected at a court hearing in the coming month.
A fatal fire that killed four nursing home patients and injured more than two dozen others is still under investigation. The start of the fire has been identified as the back patio of the facility. The fire raged overnight and caused major damage to the facility. 133 patients have been displaced from the home in the aftermath of the fire.

A nursing home patient died after being thrown from a wheelchair while being transported in a van to a medical appointment. The driver stopped the van due to another vehicle stopping in front of him. The patient was not wearing a restraint to hold him in the wheelchair when the van stopped abruptly. He suffered injuries including broken ribs and a broken back.
A nursing home has been fined $50,000 for numerous patient deaths pointing towards neglect and abuse. The fine is the highest the facility has ever received. One patient who had no wounds upon admission, suffered bed sores infested with maggots and died as a result of the untreated wounds. Another patient noted in the survey was a patient with worsening ovarian cancer that went unreported.
