An 81-year-old female patient was admitted to a nursing home facility on December 21, 2006. On admission, she was a high fall risk. On December 25, 2006, the patient rang her call bell multiple times to obtain help from the nursing home staff, but they did not respond.

The family of a nursing home patient has filed a lawsuit after her suffering and death. The deceased patient was found to have suffered from pressure sores and died as a result. The patient was admitted with immobility and required assistance to turn and reposition.
Care Home Nurse Suspended For One Year For Medication Errors
A nursing home care nurse has been suspended for 12 months after failing to administer medication to two patients. The patients were supposed to receive eye drops and another prescribed tablets. The nurse however, documented that she completed the administrations as prescribed. Due to falsification of records and a lack of remorse for her actions, suspension was enacted per a nursing committee that reviewed her actions.
Nursing Home Raided For Patient Information Due To Complaints
Five complaints and a revoked license have prompted a police raid of a nursing home led by the attorney general. Police searched for patient care documentation to reveal more facts into patient care. The facility allegedly allowed abuse and neglect to occur with its patients.
Nursing Home Patient Found Dead In His Bed By Son
A nursing home patient died in a nursing home facility, but the family went untold. The deceased patient's son went to visit his father as he routinely did, however, he arrived to visit his father in a deceased state. “I went in one morning opened the door and I knew as soon as I opened the door he was no longer with us,” said the patient's son.
Six Nursing Homes In One State Fined For Care Violations
Six nursing home facilities in one state have been fined for standard of care violations in treating nursing home patients. The fines ranged from approximately $1,500 to $1,900. Some violations involved allowing patients to suffer falls with fractures, as well as dehydration and renal failure.Other care violations involved a patient suffering abrasions after being struck in the mouth several times by a nurse and a nurse who offered illegal drugs to a patient in exchange for sexual favors.
