Nursing Home Cited For Death Of Patient

A nursing home has been cited for the death of a patient after leaving the patient unattended in a lift. The patient was left in her room on a mobile toilet for privacy. However, leaving her unattended violated the manufacturer's guidelines stating no one should ever be left alone on the lift. While the patient was left unattended, the toilet rolled out from under her as the nursing home staff had not locked the wheels.
