Nursing Home Worker Charged With Sexual Assault Of Patient
After a two-year investigation a nursing home worker has been charged on three counts for sexually assaulting a nursing home patient. The nursing home patient reported an assault at the time the incident took place, however, she was unable to identify her assaulter. Through police investigation and forensic evidence from the incident, the perpetrator was eventually identified. The nursing home worker faces charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and official misconduct.
Nursing Home Faces Wrongful Death Lawsuit
A nursing home is facing a lawsuit filed by the family on behalf of the estate of a deceased nursing home patient. The family claims that the patient was allowed to suffer bed sores and later developed infection that led to his death. In addition to bed sores, the patient suffered malnutrition, weight loss and other medical issues. The nursing home has a rating of 1 star out of 5 possible stars.
Nursing Home Owner Embezzles Medicaid Funding For Personal Use
A nursing home owner has pleaded guilty to stealing $667,000 from Medicaid funding meant for patient care at his nursing home. The patients suffered the effects of the stolen funds. Missing medication, lack of food, and unpaid medical bills hindered the care of patients to the point they had to be “rescued” from their plight. The nursing home owner used the funds for personal purchases at adult entertainment clubs and his country club, for gambling and pet care.

Nurse Fails To Offer Dying Patient CPR
A nurse who saw a patient dying, failed to offer him CPR. However, the nursing home's policy was to offer every effort to resuscitate a patient. Upon the patient's death, the nurse then asked an aide to lie and say that she had in fact attempted CPR. The family was appalled by the whole incident.
