Patients in some hospitals are experiencing poor nursing home care post hospital care. The patients are being referred to nursing homes affiliated with the hospitals at which they were treated. The problem is that some of the nursing homes have low quality care ratings. One patient that was referred to a nursing home affiliated with a hospital after a hip surgery.

Nursing home patients received the gift of music from the local police department. Policemen and women came and shared Christmas carols with a guitar and voices. The caregiver was terminated after the incident took place. The nursing home worker was found guilty of gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony.

A nursing home worker and her son have been arrested for identity theft of a patient. The mother took the information from the patient and gave the information to her son. He opened a credit card in the patient's name and spent over $1,400.Both the nursing home worker and her son were charged with second-degree identity theft which is a felony.

A nursing home facility has been cited for placing patients in “immediate jeopardy” and now faces fines of up to $900,000. The nursing home violated 19 rules of care based on a site visit by the state health department.
