Heroin usage is on the rise with the elderly, as increasing reports are coming to substance abuse centers. One particular nursing home patient was offered heroin by a relative of another patient in the facility. The patient was found on the floor, bleeding from her nose.

A nursing home patient carried the torch representing her grandson, an Olympic athlete in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. The athlete’s grandmother led a parade of other patients representing the parade of nations. Everyone cheered on the nursing home patient as she was wheeled through the facility in her wheelchair, carrying the torch high. The Olympic athlete shared his grandmother's parade on this Twitter account.
