The administrator was arrested after it was discovered that the administrator transferred nearly $2,000 from the patient's bank account directly into his own. The mother of a young nursing home patient is working to enact a new law to hold nursing home employees more accountable for their levels of care. Her son was placed in a nursing home after turning 21. He was in a car accident at a young age requiring a ventilator and feeding tube.

A nursing home patient was allowed to fall and sustain a femur fracture, requiring surgery. The patient required surgery for the fracture and was unable to recover from the injuries sustained. As a result, the patient’s health deteriorated over time.

A nurse has been charged with prescription drug fraud after replacing the pain medication of her patients with saline. After her termination, she continued to make efforts to obtain drugs from the patients. A full investigation led to a jury trial where prosecutors say the nurse admitted to using the drugs. The nurse is a first offender and may receive community service and probation, along with a drug rehabilitation program.
