The widow of a nursing home patient has filed a lawsuit for wrongful death against a nursing home corporation. The patient was admitted with the understanding that the nursing home was responsible for his care. After the patient was allowed to suffer falls, dehydration, pneumonia, weight loss, and fractures, the patient died.

Nursing Home Patient Suffers Injury From Caregiver's Abuse

 A nursing home aide has been arraigned for abuse of an elderly patient and falsifying records. The aide was observed pushing and shoving a patient who later suffered a shoulder injury as a direct result. The aide then lied in the patient’s records about how the injury occurred.
