A nurse has been charged with homicide after providing a deadly dose of painkillers to a patient in her care. The nurse cared for the patient and provided drugs that were not part of the patient’s prescription medications for any time that she was a patient at the nursing home. The family filed a lawsuit on 5 counts holding the nursing home responsible for negligence in hiring and overseeing the nurse who killed their loved one.

A nursing home lawsuit has been filed due to a patient’s needs being ignored. The patient experienced rough treatment from nursing one employees, received scratches, and was unable to receive visits from her husband. Her call bell was also turned off. The patient is seeking $50,000 in damages for the poor quality treatment.
