A lawsuit is pending on behalf of a nursing home patient citing falls that caused injuries. The patient was allowed to fall three times leading to injuries each time. Injuries involved skin tears, a head laceration, skull fractures, and numerous hematomas from the final and most serious fall.  The family is seeking damages of $50,000 for expenses, plus a jury trial.

A nursing home pharmacy has agreed to settle at $9.25 million for claims that they received kickbacks for recommending drugs from a specific pharmaceutical company. A nursing home lawsuit ended when the nursing home owners pleaded guilty to covering up the death of a patient. The patient died when a respiratory failed to plug in the ventilator when the patient went to sleep. Nine staff members were involved in the wrongful death concealment.

The family of a loved one has filed a lawsuit in connection with her death. The plaintiff’s mother received an overdose of morphine and died. She was one of six residents to receive morphine.
