Nursing Home LPN Sentence For Stealing Pain Pills From Patients
A now former employee of a nursing facility was accused and found guilty of stealing almost 200 pills from the residents she cared for day to day. The pills she stole were narcotics to be used for controlling pain of the elderly in the facility. The former employee, a licensed practical nurse, filled out the medical documents saying that she gave the residents their pills so she could safely steal them without being caught.
Nursing Home Fined $415,000 For Medicaid Reporting Errors
A nursing home chain is required to pay more than $415,000 for failing to accurately report to Medicaid for reimbursement payments.
