Nursing homes have experienced dramatic changes as the years have passed. They are planning to change soon due to new regulations being proposed by Obama. There is growing concern for the way nursing homes are being facilitated due to the high amounts of reported abuse and neglect.

A certified nursing assistant was recently arrested for stealing from residents at his very own workplace. The man not only allegedly stole the items, but pawned them for money. The police had been investigating the crime for three months.

A former director of nursing has been sentenced to prison for concealing possessions while filing for bankruptcy. The nursing home employee received a $100,000 gift from a patient upon death. The payments came in two installments.

A former nursing home staff member was arrested and charged with second degree theft of property. The man had been stealing drugs from the facility when a different staff member noticed medical records and drugs were missing. The former employee turned himself in and evidence of the theft was later identified on a security camera.
