Certified Nursing Assistant Charged With Felony And Misdemeanor

A certified nursing assistant at a nursing home has been charged with first-degree endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person, a felony, and willful violation of health laws, a misdemeanor, by the Attorney General’s office. The incident involved a patient with a knee fracture who was incapable of moving without the assistance of a mechanical lift, which required two caregivers to assist.
